Below is the contract information for rubber expansion joints for the Shanghai Taihe Sewage Treatment Plant project.

Introduction to Shanghai Taihe Sewage Treatment Plant Project:
The design scale of the Shanghai Taihe Sewage Treatment Plant TH2.2 Advanced Treatment Project is 400,000 m³/day, with the designed effluent quality meeting the national Class A standard. The ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorus indicators comply with the Class IV surface water standards.
The Shanghai Taihe Sewage Treatment Plant is currently the largest fully buried sewage treatment plant in China. The successful bid for this project is of significant importance to the company, marking our first achievement in fully buried sewage treatment projects and contributing to our future undertakings in such projects.
Background of the Taihe Sewage Treatment Plant Project:
According to the objectives set by Shanghai’s sewage treatment system professional planning, the sixth round of Shanghai’s environmental protection and construction three-year action plan requires the city’s sewage treatment rate to exceed 90% by 2017. With the development of the Baoshan area and the continuous improvement of the sewage interception and diversion rate, the sewage treatment capacity of the Shidongkou Sewage Treatment Plant and the Zhuyuan No.1 Sewage Treatment Plant has reached the design scale. To meet the increasing demand for sewage treatment in the Baoshan area, improve sewage treatment capacity, reduce pollutant emissions, and improve the water quality of Wenzao Bank and its tributaries, the construction of the Taihe Sewage Treatment Plant has been put on the agenda.
The Taihe Sewage Treatment Plant is located in the area enclosed by Gongfu Road, Meilin Road, Tailian Road, and the north green belt of Wenzao Bank in Baoshan District, Shanghai. The planned total scale of the sewage treatment plant is 550,000 to 600,000 m³/day, with the construction scale of the first phase project being 400,000 m³/day. The project service scope includes the area west to Huanxi Second Avenue and Wenchuan Road, north to the Outer Ring Road and Meipu River, east to Gonghe New Road and Beisitang, south to Zoumatang and the enclosed area of Wenzao Bank, Baosteel Wusong Industrial Zone, and the six tributaries of Suzhou River, with a total service area of approximately 115 km².
As the project is located within the Shanghai Outer Ring Road (S20), which is part of the central urban area of Shanghai and is adjacent to residential areas, with the nearest residential area being less than 200m away from the sewage treatment plant site, the Taihe Sewage Treatment Plant adopts a fully underground layout to minimize the impact of sewage treatment plant operation on the surrounding environment and meet the control requirements of land use planning. At the same time, it is integrated with surface public green spaces, water bodies, and buildings, striving to create an excellent landscape environment and become a truly “environmentally friendly” urban sewage treatment plant.
