Oil and gas recovery at gas stations refers to the process of collecting vaporized gasoline during the loading and unloading of gasoline and refueling of vehicles. This is achieved using one or a combination of absorption, adsorption, or condensation techniques to either reduce pollution or convert the vaporized gasoline back into liquid form for reuse.
In oil depots, oil and gas recovery involves collecting vaporized gasoline and vapors from loading arms through main pipelines, and using one or a combination of absorption, adsorption, or condensation techniques to either reduce pollution or convert the vapors back into liquid gasoline for reuse.
Oil and gas recovery is a new energy-saving and environmentally friendly technology. By recovering the vapors released during storage, transportation, and handling of oil, it prevents air pollution and eliminates safety hazards, thus enhancing energy utilization and reducing economic losses, which results in significant benefits. Common methods include adsorption, absorption, condensation, and membrane separation systems.
The oil and gas recovery system in tanker trucks aims to achieve fully enclosed gas recovery during loading and unloading, restricting vapor emissions into the atmosphere. This involves connecting the fuel transfer line and the vapor recovery line from the tanker truck to the storage tank in a sealed circuit. During unloading, while the tanker truck dispenses fuel, the vapors in the storage tank are returned to the tanker truck through the vapor recovery line. The tanker truck then transports these vapors back to the depot for processing, achieving recovery. To reduce vaporization and dissipation caused by liquid surface agitation during fuel input, the refueling pipe must be submerged below the liquid surface to minimize disturbance. Special opening devices are installed at the vapor recovery pipe opening, which only open when the vapor recovery line is correctly connected to the storage tank, simultaneously closing the vent to ensure complete recovery of vapors back into the tanker truck.
The oil and gas recovery system comprises three parts: quick couplings and cap covers at the tank bottom, manual or pneumatic valves, elbows, and seamless steel pipes; seamless steel pipes running through the tank bottom and top or external pipeline connection systems; elbows, manual or pneumatic valves, hoses, parallel main pipes, and elbows returning into the tank body at the tank top.
