Shanghai Songjiang Vibration Absorber Group Co., Ltd. recently conducted a quantitative analysis of the composition of EPDM rubber expansion joints. The results showed that the EPDM rubber content reached 46% to 47%. To ensure product quality, we tested the EPDM rubber from the inner diameter of the expansion joint, rather than the entire joint, because the structural layer is made of polyester fabric which does not contain EPDM rubber.






Introduction to EPDM Rubber: EPDM rubber is a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene, and a small amount of non-conjugated diene. It has excellent resistance to ozone, heat, and weathering. EPDM rubber is widely used in automotive parts, waterproof materials, electrical cable sheaths, heat-resistant hoses, and seals.

- Excellent resistance to oxidation, ozone, and erosion.

Introduction to the Inspection Report: An inspection report (Survey Report) is a document that provides an objective written certification of product quality. It includes the inspection results of damaged goods, statistics on product compliance, and proof of product quality standards. There are two types of inspection reports:
- Self-submitted sample inspection reports, with conclusions valid only for the submitted samples.
- Batch sample inspection reports, with conclusions valid for that batch of products.
Inspection reports do not have a set validity period, but product certification certificates are typically valid for four years. International certification organizations recommend rechecking reports older than three years or those that have been modified more than three times to ensure validity.
